Pulao Recipes
Pulao- the less fussy cousin of Biryani. You can pretty much make Pulao with any combination and it is such a fantastic lunchbox option!
Some pointers to make Pulao fabulous every time-
- Rice : water ratio is key. Pay attention to this, especially if you are using the Instant Pot, an electric pressure cooker or a stove top cooker.
- Soaking rice for making Pulao helps quick cooking.
- I recommend either Basmati or Seeraga Samba rice here. Both these varieties have a unique fragrance that lends itself beautifully to a Pulao.
- To achieve a restaurant style recipe, adding a splash of Kewra water (screwpine water) helps.
