Kuzhambu Recipes – South Indian Kuzhambu Varieties for Everyday Cooking

Here is a collection of South Indian kuzhambu recipes – tangy, spicy gravies that are perfect with hot rice. I like to call Kuzhambu as the ultimate comfort food that just cannot be described with one word in English.

Kuzhambu or Kulambu in general means a mixture. This is a loose translation from Tamil. In many homes across south India, folks cook a variety of gravies.

A kuzhambu is what you will enjoy in a Tamil household. These gravies use vegetables, sundried vegetables, lentils or some form of protein.

These are enjoyed with rice mostly.

Here you’ll find everyday Tamil kuzhambu varieties along with some traditional favourites that work beautifully in a simple lunch menu.
