Mixed Berry Overnight Oats

Simple but flavor packed overnight oats with the goodness of berries and yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c Rolled oats
  • 1 c Yogurt
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 1/2 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 10 strawberries hulled and chopped
  • 1/4 c Blueberries
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Toppings

  • 2 Strawberries
  • 4 to 5 Blueberries

Instructions

  • Add the chopped strawberries and blueberries to a mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle the sugar and add the lemon juice to this.
  • Gently smash the berries with a fork.

  • Mix well.
  • Let it sit for 20 mins.
  • This process is called maceration.
  • Combine the yogurt, vanilla, chia and milk in a bowl.
  • Now, add the oats and macerated berries.

  • Stir well to combine.
  • Transfer to a clean glass jar.
  • Let it sit in the fridge overnight.
  • Garnish with berries before serving.
  • Enjoy it as a chilled breakfast.
